2008 Tournament Schedule for Pacific NW Kendo FederationThere are 14 regional Kendo federations in the United States, the Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation (PNKF) being one of them. There are 23 Kendo schools in the PNKF. Individuals and teams from each school come together several times each year for tournaments. Tournament participation is not required to enjoy Kendo or for rank advancement, however, it is an exciting and beneficial part of Kendo training, for those who are interested in it.
